The Psyc Torre is a brilliant piece of equipment and an absolute credit to the Psyc range. With it’s stylish light weight design, multiple music playback methods and battery powered for portability, here at Refresh we aren’t surprised it is one of our most popular speakers.
In the video below you can see I had a chance to play around and test this speaker, giving you guys an insight into some of the key features of the Torre.
Video Review Of The Torre
From the moment it came straight out of the box I was nothing but impressed. Its strong wooden structure with a nice textured finished assures me that it’s a well built piece of equipment that has no problems fitting into any environment. The contrast of the black body and red trim on the speakers also brings a nice touch. It’s lightweight design and built in carry handle on top makes it incredibly easy to take this speaker anywhere you go, whether it be to BBQ’s, the Beach and festivals.
Rest assured this device wont let you down on any occasion, with the two front speakers giving off ample amount of sound. But if you are the type of person who requires more bass, you can’t go wrong with the subwoofer built into the bottom of this speaker.
Another plus, it’s battery operated, so you don’t need to worry about finding a power source to power it up. Finding all the ports and function buttons couldn’t be easier, with their simple layout being placed on the front face sitting just below the speakers.
Simple function buttons on the Psyc Torre make controlling your music and navigating your way through different playback modes a breeze. Two dials on front means you can control the volume of your music and the level of your bass. All buttons are very self-explanatory from Play / Pause / Skip.
There are multiple playback options when it comes to listening to music through the Torre. With the choice of Bluetooth, a USB device, SD card and Aux. By pressing the ‘Mode’ button you can select your preferred playback method. From the moment you first turn the speaker on it’s default music method is Bluetooth. Connecting your music device is a very simple process. With the speaker automatically in “Pairing mode” following these simple steps you can be connected in seconds.
- Go to your Bluetooth settings
- Making sure Bluetooth is turned on, scan for new devices
- The speaker should then appear in “Available Devices” under the name of “Torre”
- Click to connect.
The speaker should now talk to you telling you it is connected to a Bluetooth device. How to pair your device can also be found within the user manual.
Another function not to be forgotten about when it comes to the Torre is the built in FM radio. This again can be selected by using the ‘Mode’ button. Programing the radio to pick up local FM stations near to you is something you will have to do, but by following the simple steps from the manual, it is a quick process to complete.
Also included in the box when purchasing the Torre is a remote, this can also be used to tune-in your radio but also to control your speaker and volume from a distance.
