In recent months there have been a series of Lexmark firmware updates for a variety of printers that take the 100 and 100XL cartridges. Once these firmware updates have been applied many users have found they get a message stating “Cartridge not Authenticated”when using the printer with compatible cartridges that had previously been recognised.
Despite various fixes and solutions being offered by compatible manufacturers no reliable solution emerged within a reasonable time frame. As such compatible manufacturers have created revised versions of these cartridges to combat these messages.
I am happy to say Refresh Cartridges now only stock these revised cartridges and you will get them by default if you order online or over the phone on 0800 612 6134.
If however you should have a problem with these or any other cartridges please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We do however advise anyone with a printer that takes these cartridges disable automatic updates for the foreseeable future to avoid potential inconvenience. If an update is then released you can avoid it if it has nothing new to offer and accept it if any features that will be useful to you are included.
