If you are receiving this message on the:
- HP Laserjet 4Si or IIISi and the error code is 58.1 or 58.2 then the paper cassette/tray has not been inserted properly. Remove and then firmly re-insert.
- HP Laserjet 5Si there is a malfunction with a lifter in a specific tray. The number after the point (58.X) indicates where the error has occurred. If X is…

- Tray 3 lifter
- Tray 1 lifter
- Tray 4 lifter
- Inspect the tray in question for obstructions and defects before pressing SELECT to continue.
- If you have a different model or the problem persists please contact HP technical support if the machine is in warranty or a technician if the warranty has expired.
