Refilling the HP 300, 300XL, 901, 901XL, 336, 337, 338, 350, 301 or 301XL black ink cartridge at home is very easy and can offer you great results, with very little equipment. All you need is one syringe, plus some universal . Simply remove the label, widen the fill holes (if necessary) and fill the relevant chambers of the Hewlett Packard ink cartridge with the amount of ink mentioned below.
For these cartridges, we recommend injecting the following amount of black ink into the hole closest to the printhead:
HP 300/CC640EE: 5ml
HP 300XL/CC641EE: 14ml
HP 901/CC653AE: 5ml
HP 901XL/CC654AE: 14ml
HP 336/C9362EE: 5ml
HP 337/C9364EE: 14ml
HP 338/C8765EE:14ml

HP 301/CH562EE: 5ml
HP 301XL/CH563EE: 14ml
We recommend sticking to the lower fill for the HP 300, HP 901, HP 336, HP 350 & HP 301 as these cartridges have a smaller sponge and are physically restricted inside the cartridge. As such over filling them can result in ink spilling inside your printer.
