The reset procedure below is valid for a variety of Canon printers including S100, S200, S200X, S300, S330 Photo, S400, S400X, S450, S4500, S500, S520, S520X, S530, S530D, S600, S630, S6300, S750, S800, S820, S820D, S830D, S900, S9000.
- Turn the printer off.
- Press and hold the RESUME button before pressing and holding the POWER button.
- Release the RESUME button and press the RESUME button twice more in quick succession. Note: You are still holding the POWER button). The printer’s carriage will “reset” or move momentarily. If the above was performed correctly the printer will enter “Service Mode”.
- Press the RESUME button four more times and this will select the clear waste ink counter function. The lamp will change color each time you press resume. Note: It is important you press RESUME exactly four time as more or less will cause the printer to perform a different function.
- Press the POWER button to return to the top of the function selection menu. Press the POWER button again to restart the printer.
