When changing your Brother DR2400 drum unit, your laser printer cannot recognise when a new one has been installed and will continue to state “Replace Drum” or “Drum End Soon” with the new unit. Whether you are using an original Brother product, a compatible DR2400 or even a remanufactured/recycled version, a prompt will need to be given to reset an internal counter for another 12,000 estimated pages.

Thankfully this prompt is easy to enter, regardless of the model of your Brother laser printer. However, if you have had any use out of a DR2400 drum before resetting, please be aware that print quality may deteriorate before the warnings next time.
How do I reset my Brother DR2400 drum unit counter?
