Canon BJC-1000 Series Waste Ink Tank Counter Reset

The reset procedure below is valid for the Canon BJC-1000 only. To see guides for other printers please read the full article here.
Important!
Before you start please note that the Resume button mentioned below will be represented by this symbol on most printers.
- Remove all cartridges
- Unplug the power cable
- Hold down the RESUME button
- Plug the power cable back in and then release RESUME.
- Press RESUME once within 5 seconds.
- Press and hold RESUME for two seconds or more and then release it.
- Press and hold RESUME again for two seconds or more and then release it.
- Unplug the power cord again to finalise.

Please note that by following this procedure you are not emptying the tank/pad but simply resetting the counter that estimates how full it is. Please read our full article
