HP301XL I need a tricolour and a black. In the past I have loaded my printer with genuine cartridges. I have never used compatibles before. When loading new cartridges my printer goes through a process of recognising the new additions. It displays a message on the small screen stating that an original cartridge has been installed. I am willing to use compatibles because they are a hell of a lot cheaper, bu my question is, will I have a problem with my printer accepting them? My printer is a HP Deskjet 3050 J610. Please advise.1: Accepted AnswerYou may initially need to confirm that you know you have installed previously used cartridges, but this should be as simple as a single button press. Other than this, you can use these remanufactured cartridges as normal. The only other real difference being, the ink level estimate of the cartridge will remain at the same level it did when the cartridge was refilled. We just recommend continuing to use both HP original and remanufactured cartridges until the ink physically runs out.
