A few queries! Hi My Printer model number is the Canon Pixma MG6853, are there any firmware issues with these inks? Could I confirm if the Black PGI-570 ink cartridge has pigment ink and the other CLI-571 Black Dye? Can this printer be run without a photo cartridge installed as I don't want to print photos, just documents.1: Accepted AnswerI hope I can help, firstly, we've had no reported issues with firmware on these cartridges. The PGI-570 Black does indeed contain Pigment ink and the colours and CLI-571 Black Dye. You do require a Photo Black cartridge to be installed, however, if it is not being used for photo printing, it will not be used very much, so won't need to be replaced very often.

Bit worried as the first cartridge I unpacked was leaking ink. Managed to soak up excess and install in the printer. All seems to be working ok though. Ink stains still on fingers ofter 3 days! In trouble for drop falling on carpet!! Hope there are no future problems
