Product Description:
More fortress than vehicle, the Baneblade super-heavy tank is a towering engine of destruction. Wherever it enters the battlefield, it becomes the focal point of the conflict, with Imperial Guardsmen and smaller tanks taking cover in its shadow while its massive primary cannon and array of secondary weapons pound the enemy into submission.
This colossal multipart plastic kit lets you build a full-scale Baneblade, a thundering war machine capable of delivering devastating firepower and withstanding punishment that would obliterate an entire army. As the centerpiece of an armoured column, a super-heavy tank like this can dominate the battlefield, absorbing enemy fire while your forces strike from cover. Its armament includes a mighty Baneblade cannon and co-axial autocannon on the turret, a forward hull Demolisher cannon, two lascannons on side turrets, twin heavy bolters on a forward hull turret, two twin heavy flamers in sponson mounts, and a heavy stubber atop the turret. The sponson flamers can be swapped for twin heavy bolters, and additional sponsons can be fitted with extra lascannons, heavy bolters, or heavy flamers-truly an arsenal to rival any army.
The kit also offers a wealth of cosmetic options: extra stowage, armour plating for the treads, tow hooks, fuel drums, and hatches that can hold gunners or tank commanders, each with a choice of heads. You can even build the tank commander as a separate figure, armed with a bolt pistol or laspistol in one hand and a power sword or pointing hand in the other. And with all the leftover bits, your spare parts box will be very happy.
This massive kit can also be built as several other super-heavy tanks:
- Banesword ??? equipped with a quake cannon to devastate vehicles and fortifications at long range
- Shadowsword ??? armed with a volcano cannon capable of smashing enemy tanks
- Doomhammer ??? featuring a titan-slaying magma cannon and troop transport capacity
- Stormsword ??? carrying a bunker-busting stormsword siege cannon
- Banehammer ??? with a tremor cannon to disrupt aggressive foes
- Stormlord ??? armed with a vulcan mega-bolter and large troop transport
- Hellhammer ??? equipped with a hellhammer cannon for close-quarters annihilation
The kit includes an astonishing 381 plastic components and a Baneblade Transfer Sheet with 253 transfers.
This miniature is supplied unassembled and unpainted. We recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints for assembly and finishing.
