Description
Ticket to Ride Nederland is the fourth volume in the popular Map Collection series, transporting players to the low-lying, scenic landscape of the Netherlands. Known as the Venice of the North due to its vast network of canals, the Netherlands offers a unique challenge where rail journeys must cross countless bridges. This expansion introduces an ingenious economic twist to the classic route-building gameplay with the addition of Bridge Toll Tokens.
In this version, nearly every route is a double track, and both are always in play regardless of the number of players. However, every route comes with a cost. When you claim the first track of a route, you must pay a toll in tokens to the bank. If another player claims the second track, they must pay that toll directly to you! Strategic management of your tokens is vital, as players with the most tokens at the end of the game earn substantial bonus points. Whether you are navigating the bustling hub of Amsterdam or connecting rural provinces, Ticket to Ride Nederland adds a cut-throat layer of strategy to your next game night.
