The StarTech 7.1 USB Sound Card (ICUSBAUDIO7D) is a versatile external audio adapter designed to upgrade a desktop or laptop computer into a full 7.1-channel home cinema-ready sound system via a single USB 2.0 connection.
This external sound card supports a robust audio experience for 2 to 7.1 channel audio applications, providing a high-quality, instant upgrade from on-board sound without requiring the computer case to be opened. It delivers full 7.1 audio outputs via multiple 3.5mm mini-jacks.
For digital connectivity, it features Optical S/PDIF input (pass-through) and output, although the S/PDIF ports are limited to two-channel audio. The device also includes dual microphone inputs and easy-to-use built-in volume control buttons.
