The Leitz TruSens Z-2000 UV Bulb is an essential component of the Leitz TruSens Z-2000 Air Purifier system, designed to enhance air quality by destroying germs and bacteria. By exposing bacteria, viruses, and protozoa to germicidal UV-C wavelengths, the bulb renders these airborne organisms incapable of reproducing or infecting.
Furthermore, the UV light works to reduce the growth of odour-causing microbes that may otherwise multiply if trapped on the surface of the air purifier filter. The system is designed for ease of maintenance, with an indicator light on the air purifier unit that glows red when it is time to replace the bulb.
