Horus Heresy - Legiones Astartes: Siege Assault Battle Group

When the Legiones Astartes must seize a fortified position in close quarters, they deploy a Siege Assault Battle Group. Combining heavily armoured Cataphractii Terminators with shielded Breacher Squads, and supported by a Leviathan Siege Dreadnought, these forces advance relentlessly through intense enemy fire, crushing all resistance at close range.

This boxed set provides an ideal starting point for a new Legiones Astartes army for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, or a substantial expansion to an existing force, while offering a saving compared to purchasing the kits separately. At its core are Cataphractii Terminators, renowned for their near-immunity to small arms fire and formidable close-combat capability, alongside Breacher Squads who specialise in first-wave assaults with their heavy boarding shields. Completing the force is a Leviathan Siege Dreadnought, a powerful war engine designed to demolish fortifications and enemy armour alike. This set is also the first opportunity to acquire the new MKIII Breacher Squad and Cataphractii Terminators miniatures.

The box contains 23 multipart plastic miniatures:

• 1 Leviathan Siege Dreadnought
• 10 MKIII Breacher Squad miniatures
• 6 Cataphractii Terminators armed with volkite chargers and power mauls
• 6 Cataphractii Terminators armed with combi-bolters and power fists

The miniatures offer a wide range of customisation options. The Leviathan Siege Dreadnought includes a choice of auxiliary weapons, either heavy flamers or twin-linked volkite calivers, and may be fitted with an optional hull-mounted phosphex discharger. Each arm incorporates an integrated meltagun and can be assembled as either a siege claw or siege drill, with individually posable fingers, along with a selection of armour plates.

The Breacher Squad includes parts to build an optional Breacher Sergeant with a choice of helmeted or bare head and an optional breacher charge. Additional options allow one model to be equipped with a lascutter, one with a graviton gun, one with a nuncio-vox, and one with a vexilla.

Each Cataphractii Terminator unit can include an optional Terminator Sergeant armed with a power sword, power axe, or thunder hammer. Terminators feature a choice of shoulder pads, matching tasset plates, and optional tilting plates. Weapon options include upgrading one combi-bolter to a heavy flamer, one power fist to a chainfist, and replacing one volkite charger with a reaper autocannon.

The set is supplied with three Legion Infantry Transfer Sheets, each containing 618 waterslide transfers, and one Legiones Astartes Dreadnought Transfer Sheet containing 528 transfers. These sheets include markings for the Iron Warriors, Sons of Horus, Salamanders, and Imperial Fists, along with numerals, honour markings, script, and command icons.

This kit comprises 745 plastic components, 12 Citadel 40mm Round Bases, 10 Citadel 32mm Round Bases, and 1 Citadel 80mm Round Base. The miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
