The DS-C490 is an ultra-compact scanner perfect for environments where space is at a premium. In its U-turn path position, it can scan documents without increasing its footprint, making it an ideal choice for crowded desks and tight spaces.

Versatility is at the core of the DS-C490. It handles a wide range of media, from envelopes and PL cards to long paper and stitched A3 documents. It can even scan passports and booklets up to 5mm thick, capturing the MRZ zone and saving it in Excel-compatible formats. The scanner is equipped with enhancement features to improve text sharpness, correct edge folds, tears, border shadows, and remove punch holes. An inbuilt ultrasonic sensor eliminates double feeding, ensuring that all pages are captured accurately. Additionally, it supports scanning directly to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Chromebook.
The DS-C490 offers a two-in-one functionality with a selector that allows easy switching between straight path mode and U-turn mode, even during operation, enabling the creation of single PDFs efficiently. Its compact design in U-turn mode keeps the device`s footprint minimal, ideal for conserving space.
Environmentally conscious, the DS-C490 has a low power consumption of only 3.3W in ready mode and 1.0W in sleep mode, helping you save energy while maintaining productivity.
