These are an incredibly reliable cartridge, so you shouldn't get any faulties!

Canon will always recommend using their own inks, but I'm pleased to say that Which? Magazine have recommended our inks on numerous occasions, so I'm sure you will get a good quality print using our cartridges.

Shelf life of cartridges Hi, how long can you keep the cartridges before they start to dry out?1: Accepted AnswerGenerally speaking, the shelf life for cartridges is as long as required, as long as they are kept away from heat sources and direct sunlight. As these don't have a printhead in the cartridge (due to it being contained within the printer itself) there isn't much that can dry up. We do generally recommend using cartridges within 6 months of purchase and also to try printing weekly to ensure that your printer doesn't dry up.

The new Magenta cartridge was of a different design to previous. There was no removable tab on the top, over the breathing hole. The cartridge failed to work until I had removed part of the full length label along the top of the cartridge & cleared the hole of glue from the label! The instructions on the box say remove the seal before use, but the only thing removable was the large orange clip. But for this problem I would have given 5 stars.

This is my second time buying this product. I was pleased with the price and performance of the inks the first time, so I ordered this pack of 5 inks again. But the branding was not consistent this time (instead of one box containing the 5 inks, I got 5 individual boxes with two different types of branding -- three white boxes and two black boxes -- the black boxes look like the same branding as the five-pack I got first time, but I have no idea if the white boxes are the same supplier or completely different). This means I don't know if I'm getting the same inks as before, so I will have to re-assess them. Please can a five-pack contain one single brand of inks. I'm hoping these new inks will be OK.
