Pledged to the T`au Empire yet fiercely independent, the Kroot range far ahead of the main T`au forces in their own hunting parties. They blend instinctive predatory tactics with advanced technology, filling a vital role as melee specialists within the broader T`au war machine. The term Kroot encompasses a wide variety of creatures, from the powerful Krootox to the swift and agile Kroot Hound.

This boxed set is the ideal starting point for a Kroot-themed T`au Empire collection, or a meaningful expansion to an existing army, at a saving compared to buying the kits separately. The force is commanded by a Kroot Lone-spear mounted on a Kalamandra, a lizard-like creature that carries its rider swiftly into the hunt. Three Krootox Rampagers charge alongside as a hard-hitting elite unit designed to smash through enemy lines in close combat. Twelve Farstalker Kinband warriors form the core of the force - deadly, adaptable hunters well suited to seizing and holding key objectives. A Krootox Rider equipped with a heavy weapon provides fire support from behind the advance.

The set offers considerable flexibility across all its kits. The Lone-spear can be built for long-range precision with a massive Kroot long gun, or for aggressive close-quarters hunting with a blast javelin and a quiver of razor-tipped hunting javelins, and comes with a choice of two heads; the Kalamandra mount also offers two head options and two distinct poses. The Krootox Rider can be armed with either a rapid-fire repeater cannon or a tanglecannon, with head options available for both the rider and the Krootox itself. Among the Rampagers, one rider can be armed with a pistol or a blade and has a choice of two heads for both rider and mount, while another rider can choose between a blade and an axe. The Farstalker Kinband offers the most variety of all - the Kill-broker leader can carry either a Farstalker firearm or a T`au-tech rifle, six of the Farstalkers have a choice between two different firearms each, one can be configured for melee, one can take a Pech`ra, and another can be equipped with a Dvorgite skinner or a Londaxi tribalest. The kit also includes thirteen interchangeable heads, thirteen optional accessories, and interchangeable heads for the two Kroot Hounds.

Also included are 1 Citadel 90mm by 52.5mm Oval Base, 1 Citadel 32mm Round Base, 4 Citadel 50mm Round Bases, and 11 Citadel 28.5mm Round Bases.
