Kodak Printers

The Eastman Kodak Company (or more commonly Kodak) have a history of producing products focused around photography as far back as 1888, making them ideal candidates for designing inkjet printers. Kodak merged amateur photography and home printing with their innovative printer dock and have continued to think outside of the box since then, creating many other fine additions.

When it came to producing a modern inkjet printer Kodak shrugged the traditional business model of subsidising the cost of printer production and increasing the cost of cartridges, instead opting for the reverse. This campaign was heavily marketed, quickly cemented Kodak's reputations the manufacturer who offered inexpensive original ink in consumers minds. This triumph was however short lived and in 2012 Kodak announced its departure from the consumer inkjet market.
