Now primarily of interest to fans of retro technology, the RCA cable (or phono cable) was a standard connection for many years for both audio and video signals. The three A/V jacks that comprise the connection carry the left (or mono) audio, the right audio and video signal respectively. The colours used may vary, but you will typically find the left/mono signal associated with white, the right audio signal on the red connector and the yellow connector carrying the composite video signal.
