Problem with a Miscellaneous Inkjet Cartridge

My new printer cartridge has a different part number or my printer isn't listed on the box.

It isn't necessarily a problem if the code on your new cartridge does not match the code on old one exactly; there are a number of reasons as to why the codes could be different:

- If you are using a third party cartridge, the manufacturer will often alter the code slightly to avoid it infringing the original manufacturers trademark
- There are often times when a cartridge becomes obsolete and gets replaced with a cartridge displaying a different part number
- Often a third party cartridge will replace several different original part codes with a universally compatible alternative

In terms of the box design, again there could be a number of reasons as to why your printer isn't listed:

- The cartridge in question may fit dozens or even hundreds of different printers and as such only the most popular are listed on the packaging.
- The boxes are usually printed up in large quantities.  If your printer has been released since the box design was last revised it may not be present.

Of course, there is the possibility that your order may have been incorrectly picked or that the incorrect item was incorrectly ordered; if you are in any doubt whatsoever then please don't hesitate to contact us.
