Problem with a Epson Inkjet Cartridge

My original or third party Epson cartridge is rejected by the printer

In the case of an Epson Cartridge this problem could be potentially caused by two issues; either the chip on the front of the cartridge is faulty or the chip on the cartridge hasn't made correct contact with the printer.

In order to troubleshoot this issue, please take the following steps:

-Remove the cartridge from the printer
-Turn the printer off from the machine itself
-Turn the printer back on
-Re-install the cartridge again slowly

The process of turning off the printer and then turning it back on again in between taking the cartridge out and reinserting it is important as it resets any error state that the printer may be in.  Please repeat this procedure several times if the cartridge still isn't accepted.

If the machine still refuses to accept the cartridge then the problem is almost certainly down to a faulty chip.  Although they are individually tested, these chips are incredibly sensitive to external factors such as static electricity which are naturally occuring.  If the cartridge hasn't been accepted then please send it back to the address below with a brief covering note so that we can locate your details and send a replacement:
