Problem with a Dell Inkjet Cartridge

The printer cartridge has been rejected by my printer.

Occasionally improper contact is made between the printer cartridge and the actual printer. This can be caused by anything from protective packaging not having been removed to oxidisation on the cartridges contacts.

In this instance please take the following steps:
-Remove the cartridge from the printer
-Turn the printer off from the machine itself
-Run a dry cloth across the gold contacts on the front of the cartridge
-Turn the printer back on
-Re-install the cartridge again

Please note that this error is different to 'low ink' or 'empty cartridge' which are often normal errors when using remanufactured Dell Cartridges and which can be easily overcome.  If the error you are receiving is one of low ink or an empty warning please click the back button and select the option 'Printer warns of first ink from very first use'.

 

If the error you are receiving is definitely that the cartridge isn't recognised and the above hasn't helped then unfortunately it is likely to be faulty so please send the cartridge back to the address below with a brief covering note so that we can locate your details and send a replacement:
