Blank Media Information
My drive won't recognise a supplied DVD or CD
This is usually due to either one of two things:
Firstly, the incorrect media may have been ordered for the drive; a DVD+R disc for example being ordered for a drive that takes only DVD-R media.
Alternatively it may be that your drive isn`t currently compatible with the specific disc that we have supplied; this is fairly common and can usually be solved by doing a firmware update. Firmware is computer code that`s built in to a drive which tells it how to operate. As new products continue to come to market the manufacturers update the firmware in order to improve the reliability and compatibility of their drives. If the media still doesn`t function correctly then it may be that the disc simply isn`t compatible with your drive at present or it may be faulty; in this instance please contact us and we`ll be happy to arrange a replacement, preferably this will be of a different brand to eliminate potential compatibility issues.
