Pigmented based black ink is more resistant to fading, smearing from moisture, and can even leave you with more colourful and distinct results from your HP printer. Dye based ink of the cyan magenta and yellow bottles, does not offer the fading and smearing resistant results of pigment based ink, but is substantially cheaper.
